Six Word Memoirs
Recently, I was reminded of the "six word memoirs", and I decided to have that as my first day back homework for my precalculus students.
I had them create a small poster with 2 such memoirs, one for their "math life" and one for their "other/real life". Here's the assignment:
Here are some samples. Some were creative, some were eh, some were funny. I told them I'd do it to, so I'm tossing mine in the mix. Each poster has 2 memoirs on it.

I like this a lot, might steal your idea and try this with my algebra or 6th graders. A few years ago I had the kids do a one-sentence metaphor or simile using math terms; they made nice colorful sentence strips to liven up the room.

I just hung all mine in the hall for others to read.
Very original (and adorable if I might add). However if I got my 18 year olds to do this activity they would think i am mental lol.
