I ask for feedback periodically during the schoolyear but never thought about developing a form. Great idea! Also, I believe in giving homework. I give credit for effort but find some students still won't do the assignment. Any suggestions?MathMomnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10220498.post-74965390117167979162010-06-01T17:50:33.222-05:002010-06-01T17:50:33.222-05:00Thanks for the websites, and yes, that is one of t...Thanks for the websites, and yes, that is one of the most frustrating parts of the job.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15688219946026774624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10220498.post-81220177828154433312010-06-01T06:28:49.249-05:002010-06-01T06:28:49.249-05:00I've started hearing more and more of this typ...I've started hearing more and more of this type of grading, but I haven't sat down to process it yet or see how I could effectively and manageably implement it in my class. However, in the near future our school will most likely be making the move to standards-based learning and assessment. We were told that because of this we would not be able to "check" homework. We could still assign it and go over, but it can't be used as a part of the grade.

I am upset because this homework grade reflects the students' effort outside of class which I think, should be counted in. I was just wondering your thoughts, and your thoughts on standards-based reporting in general. We at Pet Care Trust, feel that
exposing children to the care and responsibility for animals is imperative
in the development of good character and compassion in relationship to all
living things. The care of animals teaches children life affirming values.
If you could pass this along, post it on your website or give me advice on the best
Way to the get this information to teachers it would be much appreciated.

www.petsintheclassroom.org
Join us on Facebook!CindyWohttp://petsintheclassroom.orgnoreply@blogger.com
